Orosei is an Italian commune in the province of Nuoro, Sardinia. Orosei is on the SS 125 "Orientale Sarda" that connects Olbia to Cagliari. After construction of the four-lane SS 131 SS 125 has its meaning largely lost what Orosei is of great benefit. Orosei is located in the delta of the Cedrino, on the east coast of Sardinia, about 3 km from the sea. After successful malaria eradication and control the river Cedrino Orosei be developed rapidly from 1950. The neighboring communities of Orosei Dorgali, Galtellì, Onifai and Siniscola.
