Achern is a city in western Baden-Württemberg, approximately 18 km southwest of Baden-Baden and 19 km northeast of Offenburg. The town lies at the foot Achern the northern Black Forest with the Hornisgrinde at the entrance of Achertals and on the eastern edge of the Upper Rhine Valley. The Acher flows in the southeast of the Black Forest Coming in the urban area of Achern, then flows through the northwest the district Oberachern, then the central city with the Old Town on the right bank.
