Weather Webcam Ruegen. This live weather webcam is located on Rügen. The live weather webcam shows the view from the roof of the hotel Bernstein on the pier of Sellin and the Baltic Sea. On a clear day can be seen on the horizon, the sea port of Sassnitz and a short piece of the chalk cliffs. The pier had arisen in Sellin in 1906. 1925 was the new pier. They had a length of about 500 meters. In harsh ice conditions in the winter of 1941-42, however, the bridge was destroyed. The undestroyed bridge house remained however first obtained. In the 50s to the 70s of the 20th century here was a popular dance hall. 1978 had to be demolished the dilapidated bridgehead including superstructures.
