Zofingen is a municipality in the canton of Aargau in Switzerland. Zofingen is the capital of the district of the same name. Zofingen lies at the southernmost tip of Canton in Wiggertal, on the border of the canton of Lucerne, and forms the southernmost center of an urban agglomeration stretching from Oftringen and Aarburg as far as Olten and Trimbach in Canton Solothurn. Zofingen is located near the intersection of the main north-south and east-west routes in Switzerland. With nearly 11,000 inhabitants, is the seventh largest city Zofingen in the canton.
